POEM (057) Cashed Out

Cashed out

We lost the battle, the war,
discarded cheques upon the floor,
we’ve clung, cashed in
red and black, shredding bin.

Judged on performance lacked,
controlled, scrutinized, blacked,
to be called and viewed upon,
the past, kaching, so long.

Your saviour, your conscious, your life,
the family, your failure, it’s rife,
taking the role, of their, lonely dad,
to make, and create, the clad.

No worries, for me, for you,
so hard, you try, fallen through,
they bled you down, to the queens face,
as you stumbled, unknown, in the race.

Could they know the pain they caused,
they don’t realise the life they’ve paused,
selfish in greed, their life, their need,
you’re world dissolved, your life behold.

Blind to your pain, utter disgrace,
blinkered in such a poisoned rushed pace,
could they stop, for you, as you did for them,
and see, the pain, from your ripped hem.

Would they care, or help your pain,
or try to take on the dragon we’ve slain?
No, not them, so selfish in blood,
for granted, you’re took, walked upon, as mud.

cockiness is sometmes what people need! I’m a very humble person but sometimes when the truth is cocky…Ill own it and say it for what it is…even if I look cocky! Shows confidence too…..I think arrogant should be on its own…I hope I don’t come off that way to people lol

In regaurds to ‘Anymore’. The subject is a bit touchy, but I needed for people to see how much hurt he has caused me. He’s my father and I love him, but I can’t deal with being hurt all the time. I dealt with it when my grandfather died, but now that he’s gone, I can’t do it. I didn’t really even think about what I was writing. I just closed my eyes and let my emotions flow free. Thank you.~Epona~

As the pen glides across the page pieces of a soul are left in its wake. The softest whisper, a silent clue A map from the scribe that shows a truth. There to find if one would seek To see the soul revealed in ink.
