one massive door closes…
As we search for funding to take the show to Edinburgh, we applied for a very specific grant for £10,000.
Would be nice as that is our total budget for the show to get to Edinburgh, along with all accommodation, travel, venue, registration, etc.
However our application failed. No money at all.
Lame.
So despite one thing that we put a lot of faith into being a disappointment, we now know exactly what we have to do. Raise the money by any means we can. We have meetings with local businesses, we have over ten fundraising events (and the two so far have raised over £1,600), we have schemes for anyone wishing to be friends, our soundtrack will soon be for sale, and of course Edinburgh itself may bring in some money.
But i’m still terrified, as there are absolutely no guarantees there. But at least now we can focus on doing the best job possible. On a lighter note, work is looking good, gigs are starting to come in and we have new leads and contacts for work with Ocean’s 3, and life is not so bad.
So just need to raise a penny or two.
Glass is still half full, right?
(mind you, ask me again in June or July)
What are you taking to Edinburgh? xxx

Thanks, no the weather’s not looking great. Not fair since we’ve had such nice weather for the last week. Don’t know if you’re actually in Edinburgh, but according to my friends who are there it snowed last night! I do NOT want any more snow after the disaster that was December…
