fringe butterflies
the Edinburgh Festival aaproaches, and i’m nervous.
my own material being presented to a famously critical audience, and the fact that you can find our show in the same brochure as some of my favourite comedians, actors, bands, etc.
Anthony Rapp is playing Hamlet in a 3D show (yes that’s right, also starring Alec Baldwin!) i can see Simon Callow in drag, Omid Djalili, Out of the Blue, Michael Winslow (from Police Academy!) Sammy J, The Axis of Awesome, Stewart Lee, and literally thousands of others.
Excited!!!
And it truly hasn’t sunk in yet that it’s quite an achievement. i’m still quite blase about the whole thing.
time will tell. then i can write something else and go through the whole sorry process again in a few years…
so, what do you do for an act?

it’s a musical i wrote. so for my part i just have to watch. I’ve directed this one, so i just sit there hoping the cast get the words right.

Yep, the festival is upon us for sure. The whole of Edinburgh has really started buzzing and filling up with tourists. Good luck with whatever show you’re doing – there’s a very, very, very slender chance I’ll end up seeing it, going to see a lot of comedy this year!
