I’ve decided to stop biting my nails

I think I’m going to update my progress on youtube every week so I have a larger audience to whom I am accountable. (That’s grammatically correct, right? Sure!) I thought that it would be something nice to do (a nice surprise for Amir, too), and if Amir ever decides to put a pretty diamond ring on finger, my nails will be as beautiful as the diamond. =] How’s *that* for motivation?! I hope to have them long and pretty before Amir returns home from deployment.

I’ll keep you guys updated.

lol! good luck! bad habits are hard to break but you can do it!!!!

I used to bite my nails all the time. I finally stopped when I was around 18! Bad habit. Now my nails are really long. I like having them long so I can paint them when I’m bored! Good Luck!!

RYN: I guess I just don’t see it as such an all-or-nothing thing. We’re not hardwired for monogamy, relationships are a social construct. You can’t help being attracted to other people, or indulging in the occasional fantasy. That doesn’t mean you’re any less attracted to your significant other or that you love them any less. It’s biology and chemistry, and you can’t really fight them. You can, however, choose how you respond to those impulses… that’s where loyalty, fidelity, and respect come into play.

RYN2: I’m totally fine with that. You make a lot of good points, but I think too much credit is given to destructive forces in society. Like porn and strippers and smoking in movies will bring about the end of days. We balance those with education, with parenting, and with moral guidance from innumerable sources. At heart, I am a firm believer in choice, and some people will choose dangerous or bad paths. That is their right, you can’t make them do otherwise if they’re determined. All you can do is offer them your insight and your support. Your bf chooses to be in a relationship with you, and as such, he should respect your feelings about strip clubs. Optimally, his buddies would respect your feelings on the subject as well, especially in the instance of you being his bride-to-be. *shrugs* Agree to disagree works for me. I just couldn’t keep from lobbing my two cents in your general direction. =)

Also, holy monkeys, most strippers just seem really icky. *laughs*

I did that I stopped biting my nails and I had such beautiful nails and was proud of myself but after 6 months of not biting me stupid me started again and Now I feel so bad and I hope i can stop again.. I hope you were able to do it. This is one habit hard to break good luck
