No tears left

I have no tears left. I’ve cried in Toffy’s arms for hours. My brother is getting married on the second of July and today I received an invitation to one of my best friends’ wedding – the exact same date. It’s just so typical! I’ve never been to a wedding (except for my parents’ wedding when I was three months old) and now that I’m finally invited to two – they’re on the same day. But that’s only the ego side of it all. The worst thing is that I cannot be there for both of them on their biggest day in life.

I’ve called my friend to tell her that I cannot come. And she sounded so disappointed. She said I was on the “safe” guest list… among the ones who would surely come. And I could have been there any other day in my whole life… except for the day of my brother’s wedding. And it’s just breaking my heart.

I won’t be able to be there on her day. It hurts. It really, really hurts.

Is there any way you could attend both somehow? Granted, bro is more important but maybe you could even swing by her reception to bid her farewell. that really stinks. be sure to attend all of her showers to show your love and support for her and send a card or gift regardless. She’ll know you’re there in spirit with her.

I’m sure your friend will understand. If she wants you to be there she will just have to change the date! I missed out on my cousins wedding last week. I couldn’t find anyone to work for me so I couldn’t be there. Oh well.. xoxo

i would go to my brothers wedding, and then swing by my friends wedding for a little bit! that way you can make it to both! ~thank you for the advice earlier! he actually came up to me and asked me out on a date! so we are now dating! thank you for your advice! i hope mine works as well = ) love,
