I’ll Tell You What I Do Know
I’ll tell you what I do know,
Which isn’t much as it goes,
But at least it’s something…
I know, that I love this life so,
From the skies so blue or cloudy,
For the family and friends around me,
For the guiding light inside me,
For all yours hello’s,
And even for the goodbye,
For it’s a promise for tomorrow,
Something new, something wonderful,
Something unexpected, the promise of tomorrow..
I know I love this life,
Because of you, and you, and you,
Because you complete me and keep me true,
I learn about me from you,
And I learnt to love me through your eyes,
For all the wonder it spies,
That I was blinded from, looking at myself.
I’m thankful to have known a mother who loved me,
A younger brother whom I adored,
A grandmother know reminded us to appreciate life,
Appreciate the fact that have all our faculties,
And never be ungrateful for all of these…
All those whom have passed through my life,
One way or another,
By the calling of angles or the next road to be taken,
My love and thanks of you is unshaken,
You will remain always, indelible in my sweetest of memories,
For all that you’ve ever been to me.
I’m thankful for my father,
The greatest provider,
Of love, of wisdom, of laughter,
Could anyone ask for better?
And you who are here,
Who fill my life with laughter,
Who remind me why I should wake up to tomorrow,
Coz you fill me with such a glow,
Your light dispersing my shadows,
That when I feel unhappy,
I know that it’s just in passing,
Coz soon enough you’ll have me laughing,
Have me loving this life again,
Forgetting whatever
the pain.
I’m learning through you,
God’s gift to me,
To keep me on the straight path,
That because of you,
I know I have God in my heart,
And He brought me to you,
Brought you to me,
My wonders of friends, my dearest of family,
You all who complete me,
You who make me happy.
I love my life for you,
And knowing that keeps me true.

Sometimes it’s just good to remind myself why I am so blessed this lifetime and why I have to make the best of it every single day which I am so fortunate to experience.

Tis my dad’s Bday today, ol man’s turned 63! 🙂 Well he acts like he is 36, jet setting everywhere, but a wise and responsible 36 that is. hehehehe Anyway, I gave him a call to wish him and he’s like "I’ve been waiting for your call! The whole world’s been calling me and I was wondering when my sweetest and dearest would call!" and I told him that I knew the whole world would be jamming up the lines so I decided to let them have the head start on it. 🙂 hehehe Anyway, I had to wait a whole half hour before calling him coz my aunty who manages his office, whom I speak to over MSN, said that he was in a meeting and that he asked me to hold of calling for a bit anyhow.
So towards the end of the conversation he told me that he had to go because he was in a meeting with someone, nad I told him to tell that person that he was speaking to his company Director, so he could wait! HAHAHAHA And he told the person "My Company Director, who’s my youngest daughter said that she’s checking on me to make sure that I’m working hard and not fooling around." hahahahaha He was late to office today because his car broke down.
Anyway, I didn’t get him any gift but I got to tell him that I for TOTAL MARKS 15/15 for my Abnormal Psychology Case Study, and he was really really happy about that saying that it was the best Bday present I could give him. So now he wants me to give him equally amazing news when he comes to Aus in July for the family holiday we are planning to take in Adelaide, where my sister is doing her PhD. AH Whale Watching! I can’t wait! but I’ll have to make good on this semester so that I’ll be able to enjoy that trip then. 🙂
Aside from that I haven’t been doing anything productive, so I have to get on that now actually.
It’s been a good day anyway. Just basking in the good news. 🙂 hehehehe
Take care and be well everyone!
God bless
Sincerely,
Smiling From Ear To Ear
I do believe we all should have to remind constantly about those things that keep us alive. And the reasons why we are here. Take care. P.S. I enjoyed your poem.

I agree with the above note. I was going to say something along those lines, but that was worded better. I love the poem. Thank you for the note. John’s feeling much better. I would put more of my story up, but I haven’t written enough yet for that to really make sense. I don’t want to put up a half a chapter or anything like that. david.
