It’s like a child growing up not being able to use his left arm
Does he look at himself any differently from everyone else?
If he looks at himself in the mirror, he may see
That he doesn’t have use of this arm where everyone else does
But for him, that is his whole world
He’s grown up not using his left arm
He doesn’t know any better, know any different
So I can’t say my life is missing anything, cuz I don’t know anything different
I only know what it means to be an African American man in this country
