Wings of a Bat

Officially October. The best month. Everyone wake up Green Day, September has ended.

I’ve got my bat earrings on and I’m ready for my trip which is a week from today. Well, mentally I am ready – physically packed … no. I ended up doing a double in the kitchen on Sunday. I agreed to work the morning shift, thinking I would be off at 1:30PM so I would have time to get things done, but when I showed up I was on the schedule for a double. I was heated. But I got over it and did it anyway.

I am not working the weekend and I have Monday off, so I should be able to get everything in order over the weekend.

I was on here yesterday, and I read but I couldn’t bring myself to write or even write notes. My head was just messed up. I didn’t sleep much if at all the night before so I was just kind of a blob yesterday. I went home and laid down next to Kat playing Minecraft on my bed and I slept from 4:40PM till 6:00 this morning. Now I am wide awake with energy. Ready to roll.

This morning is flying by. I passed off my second job to Amy, so now I can focus on the scanning that I am so backed up on. Although, my scanner isn’t working so I have to mess with that for a bit. That receptionist that was going to start, then wasn’t going to start, then was going to start again … didn’t start. So there will be no one the week we are gone.

I’ve spent the better part of the morning organizing my desk area and making sure things will be ready for next week.

I had this window open, and I was typing between calls and labs and what not when I accidentally closed it. But it was still here! Yay! I was waiting to post it until they announced the winner of the vacation … but I might as well post it now because I think I will be pretty busy for the rest of the day.
