Because I Said So

It’s only 10AM. Feels like it should be much later. Or perhaps I just don’t feel like working today.

Nick was dismissed from jury duty yesterday after only 2 days. In all honesty it was kind of nice coming home and him not being there. When I walked in Kat was baking some cupcakes. Then she went over to her friends house after she washed up the dishes and let the cupcakes cool. So I snuggled up under my covers and attempted to nap. I dozed but I didn’t really fall asleep.

Once Nick was home I made some tacos and was pretty much ready for bed. I slept a good 10 hours last night. Had a weird dream about living through the apocalypse and a worm/bug type things crawling around under my skin. My mind never ceases to amaze me.

I’m getting curious on how/when the new receptionist is going to start. There is only 13 days left until Brandon’s last day, so I have to get the new gal trained in before that, and then I am sure I need at least a day with Brandon before he leaves so I can see what new things he put into place … so I can change them back haha. But no one else seems worried so I guess I wont be. I was approved to have black Friday off, so I have a nice long weekend before I take over for real.

I am having another guest for Thanksgiving … SO Kat’s best friend Bridgette, who now goes by Michael and identifies as he/him is not allowed to be at her house for the holidays because there are family members that don’t agree “who he is” or whatever … So his mom is kicking him out. Ugh. Total bullshit. So of course he is welcome at my house. There isn’t a lot of space in my apartment, but whatever we will make it work. The kids can sit on the floor and eat if need be.

This will be the first paycheck I have had since I switched to reception, that I don’t have any overtime and will just get paid the straight 80 hours. Of course just in time for the holidays. Lol. But the check after will be my new salary, so I think I’ll live.

I haven’t heard pearl jam on the radio in forever. Nice.

Oh. You know that crabby lady eating all the carbs yesterday? I got on the scale last night and I was up 10 pounds! It was only 5 when I checked again this morning, but still. That sucks. Didn’t expect such a HUGE difference. But it will come off again. Is it lunch time yet?

Not having a phone sucks, but Nick ordered me a new one and I bought a nice case for it on Amazon … I’ll probably get the case way before the phone. It came with a free tempered glass screen protector. Nick and I have been emailing today though, so it’s not as weird as yesterday with no communication at all.

I have stuff I could be working on, so I better get to it.
