Tuesday that’s like a Monday

Today, Boo & I went over to Mom’s around 10:30am to see what we could do to help. When we got there, an old friend was sitting & chatting with Mom about the friend’s upcoming trip to Brazil to bird and animal watch. She’s going up the Amazon in an 8 room motor yacht! VERY cool. Boo & I will use this time to research Brazil & it’s flora/fauna so we can talk to Friend J when she gets back about what she saw.

Mom was in good spirits, and we made a few phone calls. The VNA sent a nurse over, who was very nice. She will make the recommendation for some Physical Therapy, just in case Mom needs it. We made an appointment with Mom’s GP, and with her Pulmonary doc as well, to follow up on the stuff from the hospital. Tomorrow I will run a few errands for Mom, and I think Thursday we’ll go see Pop.

Mom started walking around last night with her cane and then the walker, but today is using the cane or nothing – aside from the counters & wall, etc. She’s doing REALLY well, but I just don’t want her to overdo it. I’m very proud of her, can you tell? Boo was happy to have a calm day where she got to watch Cartoons & eat potato chips while we got some stuff done.

Edwin & I bowled tonite, and Boo came along to watch. We’ve decided that when Mom is well enough to spend an evening with Boo, they’ll stay together while Edwin & I bowl. Otherwise, Boo will come with us – she loves it anyway. I bowled amazingly tonite, my three games were: 165, 180, and then 122. My average is 107!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 

Now I’m really beat, and it’s time for bed, I think. Thank you all for thinking of us, and again, I will be trying to put as much info as I can down so I don’t forget it. Be well, my friends.
