Today’s Yumminess:
That’s 7 & 1/2 pounds of Strawberries, picked by Edwin, Boo & Myself this morning. 🙂
Then, of course, Edwin made Baking powder biscuits. I cut up some berries & set them aside with some sugar on them, so that they’d make syrup.
Then? Why, we made Strawberry Shortcake, of course! Like this – take a few baking powder biscuits –
Cut them, butter them, and if necessary, heat them up:
Add Strawberries,
…and Whipped Cream/Cool Whip/Similar topping:
I didn’t take a picture of my empty bowl, but you can guess what that looked like. 🙂 Now that Edwin cut up the rest of the berries, I’ll set more aside for more Shortcake for breakfast (it was supper tonite!). What’s left, I’ll use for pie – probably Strawberry-Rhubarb; my Mom said she had Rhubarb growing in her yard still, even though the season is pretty much over here. YUM!
Oh my gosh…now I’m craving strawberries!

I think I’m about to dive into my computer screen, those look so good!!! Homemade strawberry shortcake is the best thing in the universe. It’s even better when you whip the cream yourself. 🙂 How’s Boo doing?

I don’t know what baking powder biscuits are, but they look like what we call scones. I love rhubarb as well!
