[[80]] surviving.
okay so here’s how it went.
the night of the breakup: went out with some girls to denny’s and got ice cream. came home and took an anti-anxiety pill and slept in my mom’s bed.
day 1: positioned myself on the couch with a book and some good movies. remained there most of the day. cried a lot. waited for the phone to ring…it didn’t. took another anti-anxiety pill and slept in my room.
day 2: pretty much the same as day one, only i managed to eat chinese food and part of a can of chocolate frosting. still no calls. a lot of crying. no pills, but slept okay.
day 3 (today): woke up at 6 for school. got ready. went to said school. had to explain to everyone that i had been through a breakup, all agreed that i did what was right. my best friend told me that the now ex boyfriend hasn’t been to work or really left his apartment. obviously he is not okay. he also showed the naked pictures that he has of me to his friends (while we were still together), which i strictly had forbidden him to do. made it through school without a tear.
after school, my friend and i stopped at walmart so i could get a new iPod cord and a christmas gift for my mom. came home and decided to go to the bowling alley with my mom (she bowls on a league every tuesday). met a cute guy named joe. he approached me more than once to talk. managed not to think too much about the ex and tried not to feel guilt for flirting so soon.
after i came home, my best friend called me and told me she and one of our other friends were coming to get me. she had a fight with her boyfriend and needed some denny’s. so we went and got some sugar in our systems, talked and laughed about a lot of things, and then went to CVS to pick up her perscriptions. after doing so, her boyfriend called and informed us that he was walking down the street because his car had run out of gas (mind you i live in michigan and it’s rather cold this time of year), and he was sobbing because of the fight. soooo we ended up finding him and guiding him to a gas station (he literally had NO gas), and then my best friend left with him and the other friend brought me home.
so here i am, ignoring phone calls from a guy i know wants to hang out with me even though i told him i wasn’t ready yet, and waiting for my stupid itunes to decide to like me so i can delete all the songs that my ex boyfriend told me to put on it.
-sigh- this entry was insanely long, i apologize.
I’m glad it’s getting easyer on you, break up are ruff.

i think you did the right thing as well, don’t be guilty, just do what you need to to take care of yourself. he’s not in the picture anymore, for a good reason. i know what you mean about the songs, i often have this bad association with music thing. *hugs* sonya.
