Subscription Reminder
This is a simple one, but irritating (aren’t most programming problems like that?).
For those of you who have OD Plus subscriptions, I added a reminder screen awhile back that will pop up when you log in and your subscription is within thirty days of expiring. This screen had a little checkbox on it that said “Don’t notify me again” – the idea being to check that and let the system know that you were a grownup and you could remember about your subscription expiring on your own, thank you very much.
The problem with this was that the way I implemented the checkbox, it only actually worked if you checked it and then clicked the “Subscription Info” button that appeared above it. (Those of you who know more about HTML than your average trained monkey can guess why this was so.) If you checked the box and then left the screen in any other way, the software forgot about your box-checking.
Anyways, the checkbox has been replaced with a more functional button, also saying “Don’t notify me again”. The difference is that now, if you click the button, the system will actually NOT notify you again.
Once again, we at OD are doing our part to make your life 1/100,000th of 1% less irritating.
The DiaryMaster
This is probably a dumb question, and it may well be listed somewhere on the site but things are hectic and I haven’t found it in my hasty looking: I still have a couple of months in my subscription. If I renew now while I actually have money, it will add from the day my diary is due to expire, not the day I renew, right? Sorry to be a PITA.

You are the master of tweaking. 🙂

eek eek.

Actually that was VERY irritating. And it wouldn’t go away, even if I clicked on the subscription info. So I’m very glad for this. Thank you! 🙂

For some reason, it is telling me that this store is not able to process information at this time. Error 1002 or something along those lines. I am upgrading so that I can post pics here, btw.

Actually, it DIDN’T work the way you described. I tried it–several times. It only went away when I went ahead and paid. But thanks for fixing it for NEXT time. LOL!

Do you know that I DID check the box and then look at the subscription info, several times in an effort to get it to stop doing that, and it still did it? You might want to double check to be sure it actually works.

With comments like that last, I’m struck again at how much I like the new you. 😉

I’m glad you have the reminder thing. I never look to see when my subscrition is due and I don’t want to lose it.
