Spell Check

As many of you know, the vendor that had been providing our spell checking service over at Open Diary has been in the process of going out of business due to poor economic conditions. As a result, we had not offered a spell checker here on OD+, and have been looking for another vendor to provide the service.

I’m glad to report that we have found another provider for spell checking, and if you were familiar with the old spell checker this one works in a very similar fashion.

You will see a “Check Spelling” button on the entry writing and note leaving pages – just click that to spell check your text. A new window will open for the spell checker, but when it is finished it will return the corrected text to your entry.

Also, we’ve added the character counter to the entry editing screen, from which it was missing.
