Some Day I’m Going to Write An Entry…

that’s not a list. But today isn’t that day.

Some things from the day’s mail:

Some diarists have reported seeing a form error when they try to use the new credit card payment screen. This is a problem on the card processor’s end, and has been reported to them. As far as I can tell, this happens rarely – but we will be looking into it.
Others were seeing an error when the Suggestion screen was loaded – this has been fixed.
The “who’s joined OD lately?” list was showing some diaries that weren’t actually new – thanks to a sharp-eyed member for pointing this out. The list is now accurate.
The Random feature had a bug in it which was making it work with a shorter list of recent entries than it should have, thus decreasing the randomness of its results (if only I could find something that would do that in real life). I’d heard this one before, and looked at the code without finding the problem. Today I found it, so now Random should be random.
This is one we’ve visited before: when saving an entry first as Private (for editing) and then changing it to Public (for our fans to read), the Favorites list was not showing the update. This has been fixed up, hopefully for good.
The link from the chapter titles in the Chapter Manager screen (Plus members only) was returning a test screen that didn’t work properly. This has been resolved.
Some people were having trouble saving long entry templates in the Editor Setting screen, because they were going over the 1,000 character limit. I’ve doubled the space available to 2,000, so this should not be a problem.

uUmm yeah ok you see i stared at the latest entries thingy for like 3 minutes and the same thing said that it was written 6 seconds ago so you need to update it better

i’ve lost the save button to my diary discription (diary front page) I really don’t wanna have to make a new diary..can someone fix the problem?

i’m really frantic right now. I’ve worked hard on that diary, and..I dunno what to do! I am very worried..please help! (from my previous note)

hi. thanks for all your great work. if i let my subscription expire and it turns into a free diary, will it be deleted if i don’t update regularly?

when are u going to help me? i emailed a long time ago i try to save entries that arent that long and it says it’s over the limit when i copy and paste it into word, and check the character count it’s not even close to the limit its making me mad and nobody will help!!! 🙁

hello. oh my gush! why are there SO many popups everytime time i open a new page in this diary??? it’s really annoying me… i dunno, thought u might wanna know…

I realize I am probably a member of just a small chunk of ODers with Macs, but I am getting no WYSIWYG editor and no line breaks in my entries once saved, even if I put them in there while writing the entry. I am using IE on my Mac, but I’ve had to hop onto an icky PC to edit all of my entries just to make them look right…. anything you can do about this??

hey- with all the updates..well, i guess there not new anymore, but my diary is faulty. i don’t get the font bar at the top like a word document, and somehow my name is now caitlin (2) instead of caitlin..which isn’t a big deal. if you could find time to fix my missing tool bar though, that would rock. thanks,
