Possible Service Outage

Hello all,

Our system administrators have received an alert from Microsoft that identifies a potential security problem in all servers running Windows Server software (which includes the Open Diary servers). Microsoft has issued a security update which resolves this problem, and our system admins will be applying that update to our servers tonight.

As a result, OD service may be interrupted between the hours of 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, Thursday morning. They have assured me that any interruption should be fairly short, and the servers will be running normally again as quickly as possible.

Sorry to bother you if you don’t like receiving notes (well i guess you’d have “no notes” if you didn’t..) but I had a suggestion for OD and TOD in the future: Maybe you could put a chat room on the sites. I don’t know, I just thought that might be a good idea. and you could pop in every so often so people could ask you questions in real-time. i dunno! great job on the sites..awesome idea..

I have a question. Is it possible to block a specific diary person? Like say i wanted it to be a public diary but i didn’t want this girl to read my diary. Is it possible to just block her?

I think I read somewhere that you’ve received a large amount of notes on this topic, but I still need help. How do I post pictures on my entry page? Also, how do I post pictures or graphics on my description page? Thank you for your help. 🙂
