All I can say is duh (or d’oh, depending on your preference in animated art).

One of the things I love about OD is the interactive nature of it – being able to post something and immediately receive feedback. If you read my previous entry (if you haven’t don’t bother – it’s obsolete), it was a discourse on following the right menu links to contact us here in OD land.

My thanks to Gattaca for pointing out (politely and succinctly) that I was giving the members too many options, and wouldn’t it be easier to have one contact form and make them select what type of message it was there?

Yes, it is.

I’ve changed the contact form so that it is now one screen, and at the top you must select whether you are reporting a technical problem, a Rules violation, asking for information, making a suggestion, or making a business inquiry.

Come to think of it, part of my last entry is still valid – it is important to select the correct type of message you are sending – you will receive a response much quicker that way. The top menu bars have also been changed so that they show one option – “Contact Our Staff” – instead of the three they used to have. Much nicer.

Now I’m off to see what else I can mess around with, only to make it confusing, so I can fix it later.

P.S. Every time I make changes to the menus (like those mentioned above), I get notes and mail from people saying the menus don’t look different. For some reason, the menus don’t refresh right away in your browser – if you want to see the changes immediately, click your Refresh (or Reload, depending on your preference in browser art) button.

I agree! One contact form is a lot easier! there is a person called “suicidestalker” that has the grossest diary, and left the meanest/weirdest note in my fod. Just wondering if you can do anything. thanks!

It’s because people are basically lazy and stupid that they couldn’t handle all those choices. Thanks for fixing it so even the morons can handle it. 🙂

I really do think the new reporting form rocks. About a week ago I emailed Open Diary about a complaint I had with another member who was leaving hateful notes in my diary. She now has others ganging up on me and putting me on their favorites list just to be mean to me. I know I’m not an OD plus member but I think I have the right to feel safe. I love the community here but it’s natural that

I dont like feeling as if I’m not safe. I was wondering if there was any way, you could do some charity for me and block these people from me, or give free OD users a way to block people from their account. I just dont know what to do and since you’re all the great, all knowing diary master, lol! maybe you can help…I’d appreciate it hun.

Never mind hun, lol, I have the money to pay for an OD plus account, well, enough for a six month membership, so that works, thanks for listening though / recognizing my concerns. I still think you should consider giving free OD members the right to block people although not until my six months are up, lol, because I’ll be mad if I Pay for an OD plus account and my perks of being that are gone..

Gah! I’m sorry to spam your diary with my issues, lol, seriously, but it absolutely refuses to take my credit card. I know for a fact that it’s good and I could walk into any store right now and use it without hassle. I have a prepaid card although all merchents should accept it online as a regular card. It is possible that LinkPoint refuses to take my card because of it being prepaid?

I’d contact linkpoint myself but yeah, they’re all secret like and I cant figure out a way to contact them, lol….gah, my day just sucks…I wanna cry, okay, I’m leaving now and I’ll try not to note / annoy you again, lol.

how can u put all the teqno stuff on ur diary? like all the kol backgrounds? like example one that u have:rocks. how can i put that kinda stuff in my diary. and how can i put slidding stuff and pictures in mine? respond.a.s.a.p

Hey i really want to change my user name to shmoopie because thats been my nickname forever. but somebody already has the user name shmoopie.. the thing is that person hasnt updated since like 3 months ago and theyve only put one entery in. so i was wondering if you could possibly delete that diary? and if you do kan you tell me? like leave me a private note or something. plz!

umm…whenever i try looking at my notes by person…i get to a certain number (i think 150 but don’t remember…been trying to remember to tell you) it comes up blank. just thought i would let you know

Clicking Back from one OD to another will cause the menu at the top to show the wrong colors. Thats because it does something silly and stored the colors in cookies.

any way we could get a total number of favorites on our lists? my list is way out of control and i’d love to set a limit for myself, and it’s a pain to have to count it by hand. this must be a simple thing right?

Hey I have a kind of dumb question I guess. You see how on your top menu bar when u scroll down the menus the color that hightlights your choices is the same as the color of the top menu bar- how do i get mine like that?? Mine still highlights my choices in the origional OD purple. I selected the box that says to “autocolor” but it still highlights choices in purple! Id appreciate any info.

i was wondering if you could tell me how to put a picture in my diary. I tried to click on the icon on the write an entry page, but it doesn’t do anything, and i can’t use that whole toolbar. Is there anything that i can do to make it work and insert a picture?

I was wondering if you can add something to OD. I still can’t get pics I get in email to work on a diary entry. Anways here is my idea. I wanted to know if you can fix the entry characters counter so I you will know before you try to save the entry that you used up the space in that entry. Also in notes can you make it so when people read a note in an entry they can see the date it was left.

I don’t feel like my diary is allowing me the full character limit. In Word, I use 3,000 some characters, but when I paste it into my diary, it says it’s full or too many. Why?

what is wrong with teenopendiary? it is down and has been down for two days now, and was also down a few days ago. i feel youre spending all your time on opendiary and neglecting teenopendiary. many links dont work, and havent worked in a long time. the “delete an entry” link doesnt work, for example. please dont neglect your teenopendiary users, too.

i have one question. is there any way i can pick a member of open diary and block them from reading my diary? i already only allow OD members to read, but there is one OD member that knows me and won’t stop reading. is there an option somewhere that would let me do this? thanks for your help!
