READERS! I NEED YOUR OPINION!
Ok so here’s the deal.
My very serious boyfriend…ok, now EX-boyfriend…just broke up with me last week, on the phone while I was at work, 2 days after we had spent a seemingly fun weekend together.
I’m completely lost and complexed at the whole ordeal, especially since he was the one to drop all of the big bombs on me, such as "I love you", and "I want to be with you forever." But basically, he lives on the other side of the state from me, and we really are going separate directions. So it was probably for the better. HOWEVER, I did really like him, he was a great guy (even though he did kind of busch league me with this whole breakup thing) and I am definitely a little on the heartbroken side.
I feel like I want to see him in person, as I will be in his town tomorrow.
Question is:
Do I meet with him IN PERSON, sit down with him and tell him how I feel, and also have him tell me he doesn’t love me anymore to my face? Or will it ultimately be stupid and I won’t get the answers I’m looking for? I definitely don’t feel closure. At all. So I think that talking to him to his face might help me with that. However, I also am wondering if that might not hurt me more.
SIDE NOTE: I AM NOT EXPECTING FOR HIM TO GET BACK TOGETHER WITH ME IN ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM. I KNOW FOR SURE THAT HE IS OVER ME, COMPLETELY.
See him while I’m in town? Or avoid the situation? HELP!
Much love!
-Elle.
Dear Elle i have had a similar situation and what i did is i AVOID him..It’s his loss and your gain, although i think you should consider just making him want you cause did you know that a guy hates it when he gets ignore..so you can come in from left field and pretend he is no where near your site if you do accidentally bump into him, i always say ‘if u hurt me just know i can screw u over 2x +’

Random noter, I would avoid it because u get hurt even more than u already are. This guy sounds like a dick , I mean he said I love u and I want to be with you forever n all that then just up n dumps you. Dumb. Its his loss not urs. Stay strong n stand ur ground!

I think it’s probably important for closure. I talked to my ex one last time actually during my current relationship because we never really got closure and I just needed to put a lid on that box. If you were beginning to get over him or already over him I would say don’t go, but I don’t think that’s the case. It will be painful but I believe strongly in closure.

Hi Elle you wrote a note to me a few days ago because we are both going through a similar thing. I don’t know how to handle it either, Im curious to know what decision you made. I hope you don’t compromise yourself too much but I also understand that it’s nice to have some closure which is what I’m trying to establish right now. I’m also being bombarded with opinions of others which have been

been contradictory. From his families advice,to my friends to my family it’s hard to sort through all the “noise”. You really just need to do what you feel is true in your heart and what would help you. Be selfish, think about yourself and if you need closure then get it but go in without any expectations. No matter what happens know that you will be okay even though it’s hard to see that now.
