Researching & choosing homeschool curriculum for next year.
Salad. I would REALLY like a nice big salad right now. With crunchy lettuce and packed with yumminess & tossed in a quality dressing. (I’m toward the end of a 30-day anti-inflammatory detox right now. There hasn’t been much yumminess on my dinner plate the last 27 days.)
Caesar salad
steak salad
chopped salad
cobb salad
Asian chicken salad
the amazing homemade French dressing they served on "Martha’s Salad Bowl" at the long since closed Washington Square Restaurant..super crispy salad served in a huge chilled pewter bowl.
Getting our garden in order this spring. We’ve joined the crusade to replace crummy landscaping with organic veggies. Today the crappy worthless junk ornamentation was removed to prepare the soil. We’ve got to lay down a layer of cardboard or newspaper (weed barrier) and get it covered with plenty of good soil…deep enough for our garden. The space is narrow, so we have to buy or build structures to support a vertical garden.
Helping my Big Boys "finish strong" with school. I don’t want to drag "boring subjects" (math & language arts) into summer vacation – theirs or mine!! Science, nature exploration, history, etc can easily meld w/ summer break. But, all these subjects must get finished!

How do the minis fare with the big boys at school at home? Do the minis go somewhere like preschool or do they school at home also? I can’t imagine how stressful that could sometimes be!

The Minis go to nursery school 2 mornings a week (this year). We use those mornings to “do school” at the local library. The other 3 mornings we do our schoolwork at home. The Bigs trade off w/ me for their lessons. The Minis enjoy having their Bigs around to play with. All 4 children take homeschool yoga together, too.

Next year nursery school will be 3 mornings a week. It can be a bummer dragging our schoolwork to the library, but we will survive…it will only be a year! 🙂
