1810 catching up…a little bit

Saucy Scale: 7

I’m out of date and have somehow wound up on the OD Free ghetto side of life.  (I must speak with my beloved about paying me forward.)

I haven’t been here much lately.  I realize that.  We had a great summer and now we’re getting "into the swing of things" with our Fall Schedule.

The children are amazingly wonderful & beautiful & brilliant.

Gus is 4.  He attends 3 mornings of nursery school, 2 mornings of homeschool, and soccer lessons each week.

Mattson is 2.  He attends a "Parent/Child" nursery school on Saturday mornings and sits in on homeschool with Gus.

Rex & Clementine are a few days away from turning 7 months old.  Over the past month, we’ve made many BIG changes regarding the twins: they no longer sleep in the same crib (b/c they kept kicking eachother all night long)…the cribs are next to eachother in an "L" shape.  The babies gravitate to the corners of their cribs so that they are nearest to eachother.

They are eating a few solid foods now.  They are still breastfed (and have no clue what a bottle is for).

We’ve officially retired the swings and pulled out a "jumper" and an "exersaucer" for their enjoyment.

I’ve got a humdinger of a cold right now.  Actually, 4 out of 6 Family Members are sick right now.  I’m not sure who "Patient Zero" is, but I plan on spanking him/her once I figure it out.

Thanks to the sickness…I best be heading off to sleepy sleep.  It would help if I could load up on all kinds of cold medications, but lactating moms get screwed.  Best not dwell on it.

I’ve got a HILARIOUS story to tell you about my "dear friend" I used to write about under the name: Munchausen.  It isn’t a story about trying to kill her kid, so I can consider it way humorous.  Unfortunately, that will need to wait until another day.

5 Things That Make Me Happy:

  1. My darling husband stayed home a few extra hours this morning so that I could get a little sleep.  He even took Gus to school.  God bless him!
  2. Gus is a wonderful boy.  He is so quick to tell you, "I love you".  He’s also a total sh*t, but I adore him.
  3. Mattson is delightful.  I love getting some alone time with him.  It isn’t very often, so I really appreciate it that much more.  He’s also a total sh*t, but I adore him.
  4. The Minis are getting so big and developing right on track.  What a joy.
  5. Coughdrops & supersoft kleenex.

I remember worrying about every little medicine when breastfeeding, and was happy when I no longer had to worry about it. Plus it was nice being able to knock back a glass of wine now and then. I don’t know how you do it. Really, I don’t .
