watching colors run
there seems little else to do
but to just join in

While JN is watching the replay of the Tournament of Roses Parade, I’ve been working on the (now rather late) new years cards.

It’s really funny, on some level, to watch all the colors running on the floats while they’re trying to make it through the rain. And while they’re doing that, I’m trying desperately to get paints to stay where I want them to on the page while I’m finishing up forty-eight copies of the 2006 New Years card.

At least, though, the painting’s done. What’s left is to actually go through and letter all forty-eight cards, and to get them into some kind of organization so JN and I can start writing on them and getting them in the mail. With some luck, it should be done tomorrow and have them out so they arrive sometime this month… maybe…

I think I say it every year – I just need to either start earlier or come up with something more simple…
