a fine pair

a fine pair we make –
you, having trouble walking
me simply breathing
and still we’re muddling through
this fast rhumba we call life

If you can’t laugh…

Someone somewhere along the line in my life once said that there are so many Jewish comedians because if we weren’t always trying to laugh, we’d be crying all the time. It feels like that some days, around here.

I’ve commented a few times, mostly in favorites-only entries, about the fact that I’m having a few “minor” health issues – my doctor’s convinced that I have a minor heart problem, though apparently an EKG in January showed nothing. Lately, my chest has been aching a little bit, so with another visit on Friday, I’m going to insist he takes a second look and lets me know what he thinks. *Shrugs*

As for Ayeka, our Trainer managed to do a number on her back. She’s been soldiering through it as best as she can, but at a certain point, there’s really only a certain amount you can do on your own, and physical therapy seems to only be doing stop-gap help for a few hours at a stretch.

Basically, it’s leaving us both the walking wounded at times.

But at least I can poke some fun at it….
