Wildlife Report

All is well at Cable House … in fact, we got a bit of moisture today. I can’t call it rain because it swooshed through and only left a bit of dampness before it moved on west. But our hummingbird population has blossomed, and the latest report was 13 hummingbirds at a single feeder — that only has 6 flower/holes. And we have one photo of an almost 3-point deer feeding at the birdfeeder in our back yard.

Be safe, be well, and please be happy. Enjoy the life that surrounds you …

WOW, and they all get along? The hummers are VERY territorial around here, maybe because at least half of us put out 2 to 4 feeders… but in spring I watch males especially duel and tweet and chase each other away until one is dominent over the feeder….

What a crowd you have at your feeders. I have only ever seen that many in one place before and that is at the zoo.

Do they have reservations at the Feeder?

Beautiful!

Maybe that may say something about the amount of flowers the hummingbirds CAN’T find in this dry summer.
