Sharng a Funny on a Snowy Evening
Got this joke from a friend … had to share it considering most of my OD buddies are battling the white stuff like we are.
"Just got off the phone with a friend who lives in the Elk River, Minnesota. He said that since early this morning the snow has been nearly waist high and is still falling. The temperature is dropping way below zero and the north wind is increasing to near gale force. His wife has done nothing but look through the kitchen window and just stare. He says that if it gets much worse, he may have to let her in."
And another friend sent me a link to a YouTube video about horses that were originally bred as "war horses" back in the days of Knights and Armor. As armor got heavier, bigger horses were needed and the Fresian almost became extinct. They are back and are one of the prettiest horses in stature as well as gait. What gorgeous animals!! Just watching them becomes an emotional experience. Can you imagine what it would be like to ride one?? These horses are native to the Netherlands. Have your audio on. The music is just as lovely as the horses.
Enjoy!

Be safe, be well, and please be happy. Be sure to tell those you love that you love them. There are so many things in this world we can’t begin to know about. Just remember–you are loved.
I had a ride on a Belgian horse…I was a long way above the ground. They used Friesen horses in the first LOTR movie…the horses the ring wraiths rode.

In the pictures with the horses running free, their heads are up. I hate the pictures where their noses (not a horse person and don’t know the terminology) seem strapped down. I thought that went out with “Black Beauty” and was generally recognized as cruelty. Please tell me that I’m wrong.

I had to forward the link to that video to my sister who has been a “horse nut” since she was about two years old. Those horses are gorgeous, but I’m so allergic that I can’t get around them at all. Thank you.
