OD acting strange
The following entry was written a few minutes ago — but OD showed it being written on September 24, 2013. Waaay weird…
I didn’t realize I’d already posted about our 50th anniversary — thanks for all the well wishes and comments about my niece’s quilt. I feel like I’m in a bit of a time warp here — it’s actually the 24th of November, not September… Take care — Tehachap
There’s always so much to do when we go south for the winter–and this winter is no exception. We’ve been busy taking the in-laws to dr’s appts. and lately, visiting my father-in-law in the hospital. At 97, he’s one for the textbooks of longevity. He’s been in the hospital for the past 3 days this time around and will be moved from ICU to a regular room today, if all goes well. Admitted with severe bleeding, they’ve been unable to locate the source for the bleeding so it’s a wait and watch situation for now. He’s been flipping from one end of the spectrum to the other–either looking like he’s the picture of health or looking like he’s on his deathbed and too weak to stand on his own, all within minutes. Hard to know what to say about his condition because it keeps changing.
Nothing else to report — other than the weather and we’ve had a bit of that here. It’s rained off and on for the past 2 days. We really do need the moisture, so rain is welcome at any time. Our temperatures have dropped down and yesterday it was in the 50’s.
Our annual Thanksgiving Potluck dinner is in the works — I’m to furnish mashed potatoes and my chili-cheese appetizer. We always have more than enough food to eat, and it’s always sooo good that you wind up overeating… I’ll be helping to decorate the table and I expect it to be a wonderful time for all.
Not much else to report — I’ve fallen off my routine for writing — too many other irons in the fire right now. But I’ll try to get back into the habit.
For now, be safe, be well, and please be happy. Know that you are loved, but you need to remember to tell those you love that you love them. My dear husband and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary recently. It truly doesn’t seem that long a time. We’ve been blessed in those years and continue to find blessings in our lives, each and every day. Our two sons threw a surprise 50th Anniversary party for us — we were totally surprised. It was a great day and a fantastic party.
Love that blue/turquoise/teal shirt.
