Life amid the cactus and golf carts
We’ve been here for just under a week and have settled in nicely. The weather has been (alternately), wet/windy/sunny/cold. Take your pick. Today is overcast — our first gloomy day! The first two nights we had thunder and lightning with rain coming down so hard it sounded like a tornado coming through. The next night it wasn’t nearly as bad, but we got rain! During the day the sun is out and warm and everything is clear, with lovely weather. We’ve had a couple of fairly warm days — low 80’s, but soooo nice in the evenings. Glad to be here…
My husband’s brother, sister-in-law and their grandson are here visiting from their home in Kansas. They’ll be here until next Monday. I signed her up for a day pass at the computer room while I do my monitor duty, so she’s down the row from me, checking her e-mails and surfing the net. I’d neglected to get my password for OD and couldn’t remember it (naturally), so I’m hoping Seedys got my e-mail and request to let everyone know that I was o.k. and would write when I could. I’m not able to get on the computer as much as I had thought I would, and don’t know if I’m allowed to upload photos on these systems so no photos yet–I’ll take them and will upload them when we get home.
They had a Craft Show this past Saturday in the Community Hall. A really great show with coffee and donuts to start the day for $1.25. The Creative Crafts Club here in the park make comfort quilts for a variety of organizations/people, and to raise the funds to purchase the supplies for these quilts, they make items to be sold at the Craft Show.
Neither DH nor I are into golfing, so the Nine hole golf course won’t see us except as we pass by on our way to the restaurant here in the park.
Nothing else to report for now so will close this with blessings to all. Be safe, be well and please be happy. Be sure to tell those you love that you love them.
I’m not much for golf either. I can’t see the sense in chasing a little ball around a golf course. It just doesn’t sound like fun to me. I hope you have a good time. The craft show sounds wonderful.

Sounds like you are having a good time and glad the rains are at night and not during the day. Enjoy and will watch for the pics!

I guess its the time of the year for christmas bazaars and craft shows…the quilt show would be a step above those.
