I’m here at last — I’ve been away
We returned home from a 25 day long trip this past Wednesday. We had a wonderful time and got to see many relatives that we hadn’t seen in years, and met some that we knew of, but hadn’t met face-to-face yet. We prowled cemeteries, looking for our ancestors, and I came home with a very nasty case of poison ‘something’ or other. It got me in the face, across my chest and down my trunk in spots. I did the right thing — went to the dr. the day after arriving home and he put me on a 6 day course of prednisone. Between the prednisone and the antihistamines, I’m either bustling around the house like a happy little bee, or sacked out on the couch in a stupor. It’s working, but oh my… what an experience! LOL It reminds me of the time I got exposed to pollen from the Stinging Nettle. That’s another plant that will do a number on me!
We haven’t downloaded our chips from our cameras yet — I didn’t take as many photos as DH did, but the ones I did take were all good ones. We went through 13 states in those 25 days of traveling. Utterly amazing. I don’t think I’ve ever seen as many corn fields as I did this trip. Unreal… and it’s a shorter breed than we’ve ever seen before. Couldn’t have been more than 4′ tall. But it had hefty ears of corn on them.
I exchanged gifts with family and friends and received some very nice things in return. So very glad we went…
My younger sister loved her quilt and the matching coasters… My next project is a lap quilt for my eldest sister who is confined to a wheelchair far to frequently.
I know I’ve been remiss in posting here on OD–I’ll try to be better. Thanks for the notes… I haven’t had a chance to read everyone’s diary and I don’t know how I’ll ever catch up, but I’ll be here trying.
Be safe, be well and please be happy. Be sure to tell those you love that you love them, and keep a safe distance away from negative people. We are all blessed…
Welcome home

So glad your trip was delightful and I’m looking forward to seeing your pictures. I seem to “travel” through others travels and love looking at the sights and scenes they have seen on their adventures. Oh and welcome home!!
