“His answer trickled through my head

…like water through a sieve.”

Yet it lingers, somewhere in the tangles of my messy head. The answer to a rhetorical question, and one I didn’t expect.  It hums like a skipping record in the corner of my thoughts, begging for attention, a mantra of sorts.

“Me. Inside of you. Again.”

Who would have thought five little words could be so haunting? It’s maddening, but real talk: I don’t want it to stop. I enjoy the madness.
