Wanted…

The job I took with the state was not the one I had originally wanted, but at least it was a foot in the door.  I’m working in the driver’s license division and not only is it extremely boring but they like to micromanage everyone’s every move.  I’m dying there.  So, every chance I get, I put in applications with all the other departments so I can move.  What’s odd is that they actually encourage folks to move around, so I don’t feel the least bit guilty about doing it.  I have an interview tomorrow with the Criminal Intelligence division as a Field Admin and another on October 4th as a Records Tech with Narcotics.  Both of these jobs will pay about another $1000 a month, but the one I’d really like to get is the one with Narcotics.  I have friends who work in that building and it’ll be nice to have people around that I actually like.

I LOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVE my apartment.  I love the freedom to only have to see other people when I want to.  Can’t wait until I have enough cash saved up to go shopping and decorate.

I may be getting a second job with Bed, Bath, & Beyond.  I figure, if I’m going to be shopping there a lot, I might as well get a discount…but if I do that…there go my weekends….
