Fresh Air
It was really hot here for several days and we had the house closed up with our one little window unit working. We all slept in the living room together for four days straight. It’s finally cooled down as of last Friday and we have had the windows open again. The fresh air feels great. I love having all the windows open because when I lived in my apartment I really only had three windows–one in the living room, one in K’s room and one in my room–so we didn’t get a breeze going or anything. There are SO many windows in this house. I have three in my living room alone. I love it.
Speaking of fresh air, we are getting ready to take a little vacation with my in-laws starting Wednesday night. My MIL rented a cabin on a lake up there for four days and invited us all to go. So I’m spending the first couple days of the week getting everything ready to go–catching up laundry, making checklists and grocery shopping lists. I’m very excited. We won’t have internet up there so it will be a nice unplugged four days. I get along with my MIL pretty good and it will be her, her youngest son and her daughter, H’s oldest little brother and his fiancee (who I LOVE and she is so good with Anna.) K will be there half the time. Her dad is taking her up north Wednesday, Thursday and we’re meeting up Friday afternoon to switch. I’m really looking forward to the little break.
Staying home is still going well. Last week was rough because K was sick and it rained a lot so we were cooped up. Anna’s not feeling too well today, she has a lowgrade fever. We had her 1 year pictures done yesterday (after a huge scheduling fiasco with our photographer–if we hadn’t pre-paid for the session I would have just went elsewhere–but it worked out okay) I’m excited to get our proofs back next week. She is so photogenic!
I’ll share a couple of pics on here for those of you not on my facebook.
