Is This the End?
After very short, irresponsible thinking, I have halfly decided to discontinue the "production of this diary upon hitting the 1000 entry mark. I know for a fact that most of you will be disappointed that I would even begin to think about discontinuing genious; however, sometimes great minds have to take a rest and resurface elsewhere. It would be more logical to abandon my post indefinitely after a successful run of an even decade, but as many of you should already know, rarely do I ever do anything in sensible numerical fashions.
It is with my deepest regrets to also inform you that, as a result of the brilliancy of this diary, if this diary is in fact discontinued, it will be deleted entirely and without a trace (hopefully). However, I must convey a certain piece of information to those wholly interested in it: this diary will not be forever lost. In fact, it is with great pride to inform you that selected entries in this diary will actually be pulled and collected together to form The Taradiddle Manuscript (actual title pending). This manuscript can actually be published and made available to those who are thoroughly interested in owning one of the world’s greatest pieces of literature since Homer.
As readers of this fantastic diary, I will whole-heartedly include a dedication, acknowledgement, or personal thanks to each and every member of the Taradiddle diary (and select few) in the actual book. Of course, I will not need your real name, just your user name on the Open Diary.
MsNoSign, I am anticipating your approval as I’m very excited to still have an original reader still among these entries.
The decision has not been finalized. Currently, I am rummaging through this diary on the lookout for any entries I might include in the manuscript. Keep in mind, though, that a good portion of these entries will be re-edited by me, rewritten, or even left just the way they were for nostalgic’s sake.
I am sure the announcement of my decision has surprised many as I have wholly intended on continuing this diary for as long as I could possibly imagine; however, with the lack of bountiful entries in a short amount of time, the decision came out more easily than diarrhea… of course without all the discomfort, the smell, the splash-backs, etc…
In the spirit of things, however, I would like to invite my long-time readers and anyone with some free time on their hands to go back in time within my diary in search of a favorite entry or something worth putting in the manuscript. Actually it’s not really an invite as it is more of a demand. Indubitably.
As a prefix to the actual text, I will be including as much of my mumbo-jumbo on the diary contents page as I can possibly include (obviously edited for manuscript’s sake). This transformation to a published book is the equivalent of an idea hitting the big screen! While I was hoping to animate the extensive diary entries way before, the idea of actually producing a published book is more solidifying to me than the previous idea. In any case, someone could be interested in buying the movie rights to the book or I could even pick it up later on down the road.
Anyway…
As I was saying, the idea has not been finalized. I’ll have to see what kind of entries I can produce in the next couple of entries before the 1000 mark (that’s 1000 public entries, not combined) before I make my final decision. I wanted to do something spectacular for my 1000th entry, but I just couldn’t think of anything until now. Everyone will be able to purchase their own copy of the book and I may just hold a contest where the winner receives a SIGNED copy of the book. (Yes you will have to pay for it if you win… Hey… this is the Taradiddle diary, what did you expect?)
I might consider offering the signed copy for free, though… just because I’m a nice guy.
You spelled “Genius” wrong.

RYN: LOL. I put the news together in that way on purpose… expecting my readers would all leave the same comment as you did, but to my surprise you were the only one who made that comment. His pregnancy is going well. He got to hear the baby’s heartbeat a few days ago. He is special. Haha… I am sure though that later in the pregnancy he will be having sympathy craving and pains for his wife.
