One-Hundred-Fifteen: Slow Days and Birthdays

Follow Your Mind

I wanted to argue with Dumbledore but I knew he wouldn’t change his mind. The fact of the matter is I’m in a tournament in which I have no interest to be. I guess I’ll have to try my best. My pride is on the line. As lazy as I am, I hate to lose more.

“Harry, I can’t believe that I’m in that thing!” I complained.

“I’m not. You’re smarter than you give yourself credit for. You may not have book smart but you are socially intelligent and can use that to your advantage. I don’t know when he’ll announce the males but I hope if I am chosen, Piastol is as well. A worthy opponent…” Harry trailed off.

“Well, my lovelyness, I personally hope you’re not in it. You need a break Harry. You were born into demise and its time for you to get a break.” I wanted to kiss him but we were in public so a hug had to do. “It’ll be okay though. If you are in it, you’ll win.” I reassured him.

“You have faith in me, and trust me.” He responded. “I’m so glad!” I smiled at him.

Told From Zeke’s Point of View

I could smell my brother’s scent. Slowly, I was approaching him. I could smell his blood. I could feel my own boiling inside of my veins. My senses were becoming heightened. My walking pace was beginning to pick up. Suddenly, I was running again. 10 mph…20…40…80. The moon was making its appearance. I could feel my body transforming. A familiar feeling.

My hands were turning into paws and my skin was turning into itchy fur. What was happening to me? How could this be? I lost my powers….but somehow….I’m turning into a werewolf. I now feel stronger wiser. I must find Kaden.

I ran through the muggle world, trying to be unnoticed. I took all backroads and valleys. I could smell him, somewhere. I was approaching him. He was in danger.

Told From Ordinary Point of View

Hermione was coming toward us like she was on a mission.

“Harry James Potter! Where have you been? Every time I see you, you’re with her!!” Hermione gave me a snarly look as she pointed at me. “You never take me out on dates, hangout anymore. What is wrong? Actually I don’t want to know.” Hermione looked at me. “You, Ms. Delacour, don’t care about nobody but yourself” Suddenly, she stormed off. I looked at Harry and shrugged. I didn’t care how mad she was. I just hope she doesn’t complain to Zeke; not that she knows him.

“Pay her no bloody mind. Her birthday is soon. I am going to take her somewhere, if you don’t mind.” Harry said looking at me.

“No. You have to keep appearances up. I don’t mind at all. BUT when Zeke comes back…we can’t spend much together at all. You see, we both…” I continued to explain but he didn’t want to hear it so I stopped telling him. I guess it was understood. I missed Zeke, and I was beginning to have regrets of everything. I didn’t understand all of this. Suddenly, Colin appeared before us. He seemed trouble.

“Tanya, Tanya! I have to talk to you…alone!” Colin glared at Harry. He took me to a corner and lowered his voice. “I’ve been listening to your thoughts. I’m worried about you, Tanya.”

I looked at Colin seriously. “Hun listen to me. Don’t worry about me. I have this under control, Creevy. I just need you to be quiet.”

He looked at me. “I will not say anything but I am afraid for you, Tanya.”

Days later, Hermione’s birthday arrived. Most of the Gryffindor’s were excited, and I heard news of a suprise party. Not sure what the hype was. I didn’t understand. Harry would be distracted most of the day, taking Hermione out and keeping her occupied while everyone sat up the birthday party.

This would give me time to be able to have time for myself, and set up my own little party for when Zeke arrived. I miss him terribly bad, and oftern wonder, if I was doing the right thing with Harry. I am so confused.

“Tanya, I’m sorry but I cannot invite you to this.” Harry insisted as I laughed.

“Harry…you really think I would want to come? That is so not my scene. Oh please. I have better things to do than wish some filthy…” I stopped myself. “smart ass happy birthday.” I said, hugging him as pushed me away. He sighed.

“I am not sure what happened to you, Tanya but you use to be a lot more caring. It seems over the years your heart is becoming as cold as your eyes look.” Harry patted me on the arm. “But I know somewhere in there is the same girl I used to know. Someday, she’ll make her appearance. Lucky for you I Have patience.” Harry walked away as I stared at him. What was he talking about me being cold? I don’t understand but I don’t have the heart to care right now.

Told From Zeke’s Point of View

“Kaden!” I yelled as we were surronded by hunters.

“You got here just in time, bro!” With that, we had to be ready to fight.

Too good for Hermione’s birthday? Shame miss. Shame. Poor Zeke, left behind by his own girl, for Harry. Wonder how that makes him feel? Ahh. Hopefully he’s not going to die out there alone thinking about you. Happy thoughts while you skip out on her party! Bye!
