Yesterday, Huge scare :(

Yesterday, we went to the coast for the day. We visited Fort Clatsup (which I had never seen before),Astoria and we went to the Tillamook Cheese Factory but it was closed – had been for about 33 minutes when we got there. 8-6 is when they’re open – we got there at 6:33 p.m. (I looked at my watch). Jimmy of course exaggerated how long it would take us to get there. He said it would be around 9 p.m. and it was only around 5 something I think when we got there. We got dinner first and then we went to get ice cream but since they were closed we just headed home.

I got a huge scare this morning. 🙁 I woke up about 7:30 a.m. this morning (it’s 8:34 a.m. according to my watch)and heard Jocelyn screaming in her crib, I thought Jimmy would get her so I waited until I remembered he wasn’t even home – he was at work. So I got up, went into the girls room and found that she had one of the strings from the bumper (which Jimmy stupidly untied from the crib so it was laying in her crib instead of lining it)around her neck. 🙁 She seems to be fine, she only has a red mark around her neck and she’s acting like normal but I’m keeping an eye on her. I was so glad she didn’t move from the area she was in because that would have caused the string to tighten and possibly have killed her. 🙁 I think my mom was watching over her or something because Jocelyn seems fine, she didn’t move in such a way as to strangle herself and I woke up to check on her instead of trying to sleep in since I was so tired. Right now she’s waving her bottle around (she just ate)and is cooing at it and at the tv. 🙂 Just like normal… 🙂 Yesterday she was cooing and laughing at something we couldn’t see (I thought maybe one of the kids was making goofy faces at her but they weren’t)so maybe my mom was making her laugh. We did visit the cemetary yesterday as well, so who knows. 🙂

I need to go. I need to do dishes, make breakfast, make beds, etc. Some Mother’s Day, huh?

Wesley made me really sweet gifts at school. He drew a couple pictures of me and him, made me a painting which they put in a frame… 🙂 We went to his Mother’s Day Fiesta at his school and we got our picture taken at it, then later (this was on Wednesday)that day he had his student-led Open House so he got to show me all the stuff they’ve been doing in his class, his desk, show me around the school, etc. It was a lot of fun. 🙂 Jane (Jimmy’s mom)didn’t show up when she said she would to watch Christopher and Amelia (she looked freaked out by the idea she would have to make bottles and change Jocelyn’s diaper so I took her with me)so I didn’t get to his school until 10:40 a.m. and it started at 10 a.m. and ran to 11:15 a.m. so I thought I missed having lunch with Wesley. 🙁 but the principal (she’s really nice)told everyone that whoever didn’t get lunch already and had their picture taken can go to the cafeteria for lunch (which is where they were serving everyone)and the gym for pictures. So Wes and I got to have lunch together and got our picture taken (Jocelyn is in the picture too). The principal told all the 1st graders to stand up so I stood up too so I could see where Wesley was, and the ones who had already had lunch and had their pictures taken went back to class and he saw me before I saw him and came running up to me with his arms outstretched for a hug. 😀 His teacher said Wesley’s doing well, is good at sharing, everyone wants to play with him because he’s nice to everyone, etc. I almost cried, I was so proud. 😀

Well, I really need to go – breakfast won’t make itself and the housework won’t do itself. *hugs*
