Weekend, Santa, & Date *PICS*
It turns out that indeed I do have enough money to go to the University here, and I am registered for classes I did a better schedule myself, and am only on 1 waitlist. It will all work out now! I am so excited to be going. It is amazing to see the blessings that come, not only do you get sometimes what you need, but what you desire as well sometimes.
Samara continues to heal well, this surgery has been much smoother than the last, and I am very grateful for that. She seems to be feeling better everyday! She is down to no pain meds.
Last week we got to see The Macy’s Santa. It was kinda cool even if he is Santa… I really hate him, but I have to admit he was a good one. He seemed to enjoy his job, and his elves were perky. I can apperciate that. He played his role well, but with that we also stressed the fact he is a nice man who raises money for sick kids in a costume. He is not the real Santa because there is no real Santa.
I think Samara would beleive in him if I were to allow her, but I don’t want to build the holidays on a mass lie. There is no Santa, and I have never figured out why we tell our children there is, same thing with Easter Bunny or Tooth fairy?
I also don’t like everyone asking Samara if Santa is coming to her house. She tells them no, He’s just a man in a costume, and everyone seems shocked…. I know we aren’t the only family like this…
anyways, here is the Macy’s Santa… Samara did like him.
The rest of the weekend was fun too.
Saturday we just lounged all day did some housework. Much needed housework.
Samara played dress up with her brother, it was cute. i was working on cleaning and I came out to crying and found him with fairy wings on. I found this adorable, Daddy not so much. he is so afraid by us putting girl colors, or playing dress up his son will be gay. How does that even follow in logic? I have seen no evidence to suggest a big sister dressing up a 3 month old boy turns them gay, but you know if I am wrong please show mw the evidence.
Sunday was fantastic!
Travis took me out for my birthday, we went to Flattop for Breakfast, and it was amazingly delcious! I had the best french toast ever. It was topped with brownsugar, coconut, chocolate chips and almonds, it was simply wonderful. I could eat so much of it!
Then we went to the mall, and got him a christmas present.
Then he took me to see the muppets. It was magical for me. I loved them as a little girl, and seeing them on the screen made me feel like a child again. It was great.. Family friendly, spontaneous song and dance, bright colors. Wonderful! I want to own this one.
we came home and he played his computer as usual, but hey it better than sex these days.
And now… children are screaming. I should go right.
I’m so happy that you got registered for the school that you wanted to attend! I figured out the whole Santa-lie when I was 5 years old. I also find it a bit goofy, but generally harmless up to about age 5 or 6. Older kids still believing it kinda creep me out a bit. I dressed both of my brothers in girly stuff until they got old enough to refuse/resist. Neither is gay. Therefore, I don’t think you can catch The Gay like that. I’m glad you had a nice weekend, sweetie. *big hugs*

I am SO glad things worked out for school! It’s definitely a big burden off your shoulders when everything falls into place. I debated about telling my (future) children that Santa isn’t real. However, I had such a magical experience with it when I was younger, and I don’t want to take that away from them. I have no judgements or convictions because you chose to do it that way, you know what’s

best for your children and your family. I have utmost respect for people who do what they feel is right, even though some people may disagree with their decisions. No, your son will not turn out gay from a little dress-up. Boys at the daycare I work at frequently play with “girl toys” (girl dress-up, purses, dolls, Barbies, etc.) and they are nowhere near gay. Some of them have “girlfriends.” lol

I have to say one thing about Alex, he’s not too worried about dressing up or baby play turning Gabe gay. Granted, the boy does like his sister’s purses, and ‘makes out’ with her baby doll (kisses her all over the face and pats her back). Maybe that will make him a nurturing father one day.
