Think Me Over

My house is clean, nice and clean. I feel awful though, a sinus thing has turned into a lung thing… Ughh, is it allergies? Is it a cold? who knows. 

Everything looks finefor the home thing, we will be getting grab bars, and then applying to have my whole bathroom redone! 

Anyways, I am a horrible oder, but for Christmas two years ago a fav of mine sent me word magnets in a card. You know those little ones that makes sentences and funny poems. Well I never did write a poem, but they have been on my fridge for years.

Three little words have been staring at me all this time. 

they are,

"Think me over"

It has been something that I keep going over and over in my mind.

When my child has a meltdown I hear, think me over, and it reminds me to take more time and think about it. 

WHen my husband has a fit, I try to see it from him point of view, as those words echo in my head.

When my sister drives me nuts, I hear those words. 

When some one somewhere does something I don’t understand there they are again.

I hear them, think me over, and it has become ingrained into my consciousness. It is a reminder to slow down, not to pass judgement so much, and to try to see things from their point of view.

It is crazy how something so simply can change my way of thinking so consistently. It was like she knew I needed those words, and sent them to me. Maybe she did maybe she didn’t. But i am glad they came to me. 

So, I challange you the next time something happens, and you don’t get it, slow down and say, "think me over" and try to look at things from their point of view. Try to see things in a new light. It helps, somehow it does. WHo knows, maybe someone will do the same for you.
