sweater dilemma

I have a dilemma a very American dilemma but one none the less.

I ordered myself a beautiful sweater for my birthday online.

Well it arrived in the mail today and once I opened it I realized it’s one of those sweaters you cant wash. (maybe I should have checked that out before I bought it?)

I did something stupid. I tried it on.

It fits beautifully. It is the perfect size and delightfully frames my face and looks wonderful.

But I have a very pukey Sabastian.

So I am torn.

Do I keep the sweater and not wear it, or wear it and allow him to destroy it?

Or do I return it and say oh well?

All options make me sad…

Oh well.

No matter what it is a beautiful bright sunny, snowy day! I have time to spend with my favorite little kiddos, and am looking forward to that. And tomorrow I can call and set up a meeting with my advisor to register for school!!!! So excited about that….

why cant you wash it? is it something you can hand wash or buy the kits at walmart to do at home ‘dry cleaning’?

Keep it. It makes you happy…and you can cross your fingers that it doesn’t meet a vomity end.

keep it, who says you can’t wear it later on? I’m sure it can be washed very delicately.

Keep it and drape a towel/blanket over you when you are holding him.. OR keep it and wait until he has outgrown the pukey stage.

I say keep it. If he pukes on it, hand wash it and dry it flat, or like Escapee said, use one of those home drycleaning kits… there is so little in the this world cloth-wise that makes us feel that good, embrace it. Puke will happen, but breastfed puke doesn’t stain. 🙂

Keep it. Drape yourself when you are holding him or just reserve it for when he is less pukey. Anything that makes you feel that beautiful should not be sent back.

Like the other noters, keep it and try not to get puke on it 🙂
