sensory friendly fourth

 It was a different 4th holiday this year. There were no fireworks, little time off, and well not much of anything really. It was too hot to do anything at all, and so we were just home. 

No fireworks meant that the kids didn’t freak out and the crazy neighbor didn’t either. So that is a bonus, but I like fireworks. 

They are hoping we are allowed to on labor day or something. Who knows. 

It is still insanely hot here and the lack of rain means everything is dead. I know it is summer and it is supposed to be hot, but Indiana is normally not this hot. We typically are in the 80’s all summer long with a few really hot days in the 90’s. The past 2 years we have had record setting highs in the 100’s for weeks on end. We are not used to this. It also normally rains at least once a week. Those who say it is summer also need to remember in a few short months it will be winter here, and winter here comes with snow and cold cold cold. 

Samara goes back to therapy today after being off for 2 weeks. I don;t want to drive her. But I will because she does need it and she does like it and as long as I am not completely bed-ridden well I will go.

I finally broke and started the zofran today. I just feel so blahhh. I am naseated and it isn’t letting up. I eat I feel sick, I dont eat I feel sick. The good thing is it is staying down, which means I am hydrated, and I am able to nurse Sabastian. 

Perhaps this is as bad as it will get and it will lessen soon? I surely hope so.
