Blood*

By Tuesday I was feeling awful. I mean awful, like i could pass out at any moment. I drove myself and the boys to my doctors appointment and proceeded to be yelled at. No one could understand why I was driving feeling and looking so badly. No one understands I have little help.

So, they wouldn’t let me drive home.

They scheduled me an appointment for the morning for a blood transfusion. It was supposed to only take 4-5 hours, it took 9.5. Something about my blood wasn’t cross matching well? My antibodies were odd in my blood? I don’t know, but it took a long time. I was lucky my mom came with me, and my mom’s aid took Sabastian. I was able to keep Sirris with me the entire time. It was good.

I don’t know if I feel any better yet. I mean I am still exhausted, and I almost feel like I picked up a stomach bug. Oh well… It can’t hurt, and I know I need to ive it time.

My iron is coming up with the suppliments, just slowly. Like .5 points in 10 days… Slowly.

We are home today and just hanging out. Samara has in home ABA later…

On the way homw yesterday we stopped by the baby sign… its kinda cool.

I know it sounds nuts, but it seriously took Alex like 2-2.5 years for his levels to get back into the normal range, even with the iron supplements and eating iron rich foods. He can’t take any blood. They can’t match his because of the antibodies. His last transfusion, his body broke it down and rejected it even though it was his type (and it was supposedly cross matched for him).

I’ve never seen the baby sign for parkview but I knew they did that in kokomo. So cute! The hospital in Marion plays a lullaby snippet and then announces the baby’s gender when it is born.

that is cool!! they put your baby’s new up!!! 🙂 i hope you feel better!!! it sounds scary!!!

I’ve seen that sign on my way to Michigan! So cool! He has a super hero name! Sorry you aren’t feeling well. 🙁

ryn: hmm. maybe. does he sleep in it? she moves around everywhere in her crib…

The billboard is SO COOL! Sorry you’re doing so poorly. I wish you had more help… any help. I wonder if you have Bpos blood type. I have that blood type. It is universal for all other blood types but Bpos can only get Bpos and if it doesn’t match it’s a problem. My blood type clashed with my daughter’s and made her coombs pos and a bit jaundice. Not sure what it would do to you though.
