Baby boy ultrasound

 Today was another OB appointment, and an ultrasound. 

The ultrasound was good. It really helped me want to be excited about this baby. He is beauitful. Simply beautiful. 

His heart is wonderful. His lip is fully formed. He is big. He is already measuring 8-9 pounds, and gestation wise they are putting him about 38.5-39 weeks. 

The doctor went through the whole, he is big are you sure you want a vbac? You could die, your baby could die, you could lose your uterus… I basically told her there were risks involved either way. That I am not going to volunteer for srugery because he "might" be big. I had full faith that she knew what she was doing, and that if an emergency arose she could handle it. 

The IV may be a battle still. I am not saying no because I am trying to be difficult. I am saying no because I have a severe allergy to tape, and that my skin will burn and peel off leaving me with a scar. It isn’t something I am trying to just be crazy on. I will stay hydrated by drinking, and as long as I stay out of the OR I should be fine.

I am gb strep negative, so I see no need. 

Back to seeing the baby. it was good to see him in there looking like a human. He looks like my other children, he has a full head of hair. He is adorable. It was what I needed to feel more refreshed about the whole thing. I have been struggling truthfully. Seeing him, in the 4-d ultrasound truly did lift my mood. How  could I not be in love with such a tiny person who looks like the kids I am already in love with?

The U/S tech gave me a week or 2, the OB said it could be a month. Like I said, he will come when he comes.

It is amazing how much detail are in the ultrasounds now.
