9 weeks ultrasound & appointment

 So onto the good news. 

I had another ultrasound today, the baby is happy and thriving. I have an offical due date of MArch 4, and it has a heartbeat of 179. 

It looks like a real baby now. With an identifiable head, face, arms, and even tiny feet. 

The baby’s head is on the left, looking up towards the word baby. The spine is along the bottom. In person you can actually see toe buds!

It is amazing to see the progress of the baby, and to see someone so small be so perfectly formed, and to know in a few short months that this little creature will be a full sized baby full of life and potential. It is not a blob of cells, but my baby in there, and I don’t know how you can veiw it any other way. 

I am lucky to have already had 3 ultrasounds at this point, but they have come with a price. 

My doctor is supportive of my picc line, and I am starting on vitamin B infusions Monday to try and help with the never ending nausea. 

Now onto the part I am not sure about. 

I want a VBAC, I am a good candidate for one. I have had a typical birth, and the reason for my last one was one of those things that no one expects to happen again. So that is the good news. 

The bad news is they want me to use Hospital D. I don’t have any desire to use that one. It isn’t as highly rated as other hosptials in the area, actually it is one of the worst. I want to give birth at hospital P. It is where I went last time, and I like it and am comfortable there. I was told that I am not allowed to go there unless I want a c/s again. The reason is there is a small like less than 1% chance something might go wrong, and the one is owned by the doctors. 

I feel like this is an unfair punishment. For something that was not my fault. I want to know if this is actually true and if I can sign any waivers. 

The other problem is there is one other practice that will deliver at hospital P poteintally, but they do not support my picc line. Which it coming out this time is not even a remote possibility. 

I really don’t want to OB hop this time. 

This ob wanted to know if there was any other reason why I am so sick, and she went through her list of common causes, and none of them apply to me. So, it is just hyperemesis. 

Good news is she is fine with me continuing nursing. She didn’t tell me to wean, we agree he will most likely wean in the next few weeks anyways and that is okay. She is worried about my health and strength because of the back to bakc pregnancies with nursing in between. 

She thinks my b/p is fine, and is happy to see it down as well. It is something we will watch, but not something we are concerned with. 

I go back in 3 weeks for my first offical visit. Weird huh? Then the gender ultrasound comes at the end of Sept, begining of Oct. So that is exciting. I need to find a way to make it so everyone can be there.

Here soon, I will have to take belly pics, you won’t beleive what I look like this far along on my third baby. 

I need to go make dinner. B is working super late, and Travis is sleeping, which leaves me with 2 hungry kiddos. Nights like this make me glad to have such awesome help.
