A warm and tender goodbye
John would have been proud. Each person who stepped forward talked about some stride forward they had made, some realization gained, some bit of wisdom taken to heart, each affected by the interaction they had had with him. His mother, not sad, but proud, said he was like a beautiful piece of music. "You don’t want it to end but you know it will." And then she added "but you can always recall it in your head."
Teresa and her girls (and everyone else involved) gave John the send off he deserved, full of love, beauty and truth.
I am sorry that you and your family are going through this, but I’m glad you are coping together and remembering the goodness of your relationships with John.
