day 6//back home
day 6, mood: happy but not looking foreword to tomorrow
what a day! I’ve did so many things today, do you know those days when it seems like what you did in the morning happened days ago because you did so many different thing? well, that’s how I feel every time I travel home from brussels.
so today was a very productive day and I’m happy to say that I’m proud of myself! I got up at 9 am (overslept a little), took a shower, and went to Rani. I had the most brilliant idea last night, Rani and I are working one a project together and had to finish structural drawing, we’d been putting it off for days and it was due this afternoon so we had to make it. we also had a mountain of dishes and since we can’t work on a drawing with two I had the idea to go to the kitchen, put on some music (the other people in the building weren’t so happy about it, well t was 10 am) and while one of us did the dishes, the other one had to make the structural drawing. having company makes everything better and this way we were both working, doing things we don’t like! fair right? I made the drawing and Rani did the dishes and voila after 2 hours we were already finished, ahead of schedule! We then went to library to take some copies of each others notes so that we were ready to study for our exams the next weeks and afterwards I made my suitcase and cleaned my studio. All of that before 2 pm! that’s crazy much in for people living the college life!
But then… (scary PAMPAMPAM in the background) we had to go to class, and not just any class, building techniques. the most boring class imaginable. well the material we see is alright, it’s just that we had so much more important things to do right now, studying math for example. our teacher talked for about 3 hours, after his rather long lesson about bricks and isolation we finally got to hand in our scale models and drawings and go home. it was 6pm already so rushed to my studio, got my suitcase, then rushed to the train station where I got early. typical! rushing rushing rushing and then arrive early. I studied math on my two hour long train ride (yep, I’m an model student, yeah right). it was 8 am when I finally arrived home. so I had a delicious dinner, watched some television and now here I am ready for bed and mentally preparing for the long, boring, no-life weekend of math. wish me luck!
lots of love,
L
