WEDDING NOTES

WEDDING NOTEBOOK

An invitation sent in a box rather than an envelope…how cool is that..me thinks so. Of course I’m not going to pay Redbliss.com a $1500 when I could be all artsy and make these master pieces myself.

So… i need to check out Mail Box Etc. and figure out how much it would cost to mail out the invitations. Also need to find a place that has lots of boxes on sale.

I really don’t like the pearls in the box..I’m thinking of seashells and glittery & sparkly sand from the Hood Canel.

I’m planning a very non tradional wedding–just have to be different in my old age.

Oh and I need to learn how to make a fancy bow too–but not pink but dark purple,

I also need to figure out how many to make. My guest list is 100 people. Out of these 100 people 25 are childen and out of the 75 adults many of them are coupled. So–I’m thinking about making 50 invitations.

Maybe I could get more creative and use different colors of bows and papers.

Finally got my computer back up and running so will be able to read and note. Have tried to keep up on your plans by using my friends computer from time to time. Glad things are going well and I think this is a really neat idea.

Your ideas sound very pretty! Have you thought of using homemade paper… or better yet…making some yourself? Craft stors have kits for this. I like your idea of using shells and sand. Cannot wait to see the pretties!

Very cool and with your artistic talent you will come up with something distinctively your own. Perfect.

That sounds cool!

Boy, are we ever getting away from the “traditional” of my era when we got married. I like it

ryn: i’ll see what i can do about that! 🙂 i have a photo of him wearing my son’s graduation hat. (mortar board? is that what it’s called?). i love your front page. have a good week. hugs,

that is a really cool idea

The neatest thing about this is that you’re having fun with it. So many people have taken the fun out of the wedding and turned it into an ordeal. My husband still refers to our wedding as ‘a helluva a great time!’ *g*

I LOVE it coming in the box! And aren’t you planning an outside wedding anyway? The sand would be a perfect idea. OMG, the fun you could have creating these! Very cool idea.

RYN: why thank you…….smirk I love the horse photo…… You are one special woman!!!!! 🙂

What a neat idea! I like the sand and shells idea, too.

What a great idea! I made my invitations, but they came in a kit so it wasn’t quite as creative. I love the box idea, that will really make an impression! I’d love to see how they end up turning out. 🙂

very pretty and unique.

This is a lovely thing to do. I like it so much more than the traditional invitations.

You are so creative, I’ll bet you’ll come up with something even more cool on your own. I love the idea of mailing in a box.

March 11, 2006

these will be beautiful and memorable! 🙂

Do a spreadsheet of addresses. How ever many addresses you end up with that’s how many invitations you need…plus last minute people you realize you’ve forgotten! I loooooooove the box idea! M.
