UPDATE ON NELLIE

Miss Nelly is home now and resting. She is recuperating as you can see. I spoil my baby! I can’t say enough about having pet insurance. My bill was $1,300. Rotts are one of the most expensive dogs to cover because of their genetic problems like hip dysplasia. She needs to have special dog food –6 cans a day which is precription only. In other words a case of dog food is $40.00 –in other words again her food expense for a month will be $160.00 I think there is a web site that has prescription meds/food cheaper?

Her new name is “Tripod” because she hobbles on three legs–for now! Everyday she is getting better and is starting to bare weight on her injured leg.

Thank you everyone for caring about my “baby” I can imagine the agony of having a real sick baby. I would be a mess!

Oh My!! I’m going to have to read your previous entries to see what happened. She is looking quite comfy now and I hope all heals up well. As for that pet insurance – I know exactly what you mean.
