This .That. & Those
I can’t believe how fast life goes by after 40. There really isn’t any special occasion to look forward too. Ok, so my wedding in August is pending and I really should be looking forward to it, but every time I think about it I feel myself to the brim with anxiety. I took a “mother may I” baby step and made my first call to a Venue ALDERBROOK INN. If you’re so inclined you can CHECK IT OUT HERE So, I guess I should have called a year ago to set this venue in stone because every Saturday is filled up in the months of July, August, and September. Fridays are available though– And October! but does anyone get married on a Friday or in Roctober? Has anyone ever been to a wedding on a Friday night?? I just don’t know, and this painful. I will need to talk to my family and see how they feel about this. I don’t know. GEESH!
..and then there is the matter of who is going to officiate the wedding ceremony. I want to have a traditional native wedding ceremony mixed with catholicism–is this possible? Will my uncle the priest agree with this. Add a big hurken pile of stress right here_____________
Ok need to stop right here thinking about all this wedding stuff. You don’t want to hear my rant about how much Phototogs charge and I haven’t even checked out flowers yet….who needs flowers anyway. Two daisies with a single ribbon would be perfect for my bouquet
There you go…I just lighted a Plymouth Candle-this one is Cinnaman and Sugar. D.E.L.I.G.H.T.F.U.L.
Random thoughts:
I light a candle every day and have them in almost everyroom.
*Craig passed his written test, I was really hoping he would fail again. I know this is wrong but I’m afraid he is going to kill someone
*Craig’s only household job duty is to vacuum the floors, he has this skilled mastered but why is it that he can’t roll up the cord. Why is the cord still strewn across the hallway and I trip over it. I should just do it myself but I’m waiting to see if he will roll up the cord himself==but I know he won’t.
Sometimes I feel as if I’m invisable…
Fruit flies are attacted to me or is it just the wine
Sometimes I wonder if I drink too much…what is too much. I never get drunk just lightly buzzed. Wondering if two glasses of wine is too much. I read somewhere if you have to ponder this question perhaps you have a problem.
Damn Damn, wishing Criag didn’t have to live with us. It really changes everything in the romance department.
BB had to use a ski pole to help him to the bathroom at 3 am
Criag used my primping bathroom downstairs this morning..I found myself checking all my lotions under the counter. I don’t like him in MY bathroom.
She wants to die but she is waiting for her family to come from LA…then I know she will die. She is speaking to me in her native tongue, no more english. This is very common when one is close to death. I wish I could undersand her. But compassion is universal
The hospice nurse bought me a bouquet of tulips for my office. That was the sweetest thing that has happened to me in along time. She is a wonderful person who I admire deeply. She wants me to be a hospice nurse. –time will tell
Having just gotten married a month ago the only advice I have for you is….have fun. Make sure it’s all about the fun and this includes the planning. If planning something isn’t fun? Don’t include it in the ceremony. You can make your ceremony be whatever you want. Tradition isn’t a MUST. Have someone ordained and then create the ceremony yourself with your partner. Above all….FUN!!!

I would say have it on a Friday night if you want. Just have fun. I had mine on a Saturday at 11:00. Who ever heard of one at 11 in the morning?

I don’t think there is such a thing as the perfect wedding, though I have seen people spend 100’s of thousands trying… and I don’t think there is such a thing as a bad wedding as long as you are marrying your heart’s desire. so hey, ANYTHING goes as long as you are smiling! You are the bride. When and where you want. Relax and Enjoy.

Ah yes, the wedding planning thing. I remember it all too well. The best advice I recieved and listened to was this: Don’t go cheap on your photographer. Make sure you look at a lot of their previous work before deciding, because that is going to be with you forever, whereas the flowers and such won’t. My photographer was very expensive, and worth every penny!

I know what you mean about not looking forward to stuff. I feel the same way. Hugs,

Compassion is universal. Indeed it is.

Planning a wedding would be very stressful…but just make it about you and your spouse to be….

October is a LOVELY time of the year to get married, and the next time I get hitched I’m doing it in October. It’s my favorite month, hands down. And I have been to a couple of Friday night weddings. I think they’re nice for the guests. The wedding doesn’t suck up the whole weekend, but if you want a few days away you can make it work. Go for it.

ryn: someday you should try it., it’s so much fun. I have met sooo many horny men it’s amazing. of course it’s all online. I would never meet anyone from the internet in person. that would be creepy.

i think an evening wedding sounds very romantic. and a friday night would be just fine. if i ever get married again, i just might get married in the evening, on a friday night. but then again, i like the idea of a beach wedding. congratulations on your engagement!
