THE HAPPIEST FLOWER
One of my favorite diarist Sweets has a very fun entry going on right now. She has asked that you Think of a word that describes her than
Go to Google Image Search and type in your word. When you find a picture that best matches your word, leave her the link and the word in a private note to her. How fun is this! I immediatly thought of the word sunflower–this is how I see her. Of course this is a high compliment. I followed through with the game plan and did as she asked. She will devote an entry of all the images from google. What a fun entry this will be. Anyways, she has me on a roll right now about my favorite flower In acuality the sunflower is just not one flower but a cluster of more than 2000-take a closer look next time you came face to face with the sunflower. The sunflower has no intention of being popular and yet it is loved and admired everywhere-on the wild prarie, the roof top garden, in a child’s drawing, in my own backyard, at the end of a hard day, perhaps what is most dear to me is the beauty unaware of itself, humble and persistant in growth, rooted were it stands. This lovely yellow flower is the happiest of all flowers
KEEP YOUR FACE TO THE SUNSHINE AND YOU CAN NOT SEE THE SHAWDOW IT’S WHAT THE SUNFLOWERS DO –Helen Keller–
A garden of Sunflowers beckoned to me –
Come join us, my lady, and joyous you’ll be!
We’re large ones and small ones, some dainty and fair,
And even some delicate to wear in your hair.
We follow the sun, swaying slowly without a care,
We have a new dance that with you we will share.
Gently hold onto our leaves, allow us to lead the way,
To our Sunflower two-step, dancing throughout the day.
I couldn’t resist them, so dandy a sight!
So off I did go in my Sunflower flight.
What a glorious time, right up til twilight,
And then I had to bid my Sunflowers good-night.
So happy were we, a long day filled with fun,
Upon leaving I kissed them, each and every one.
So tender the moment, as I turned to leave.
With eyes brimmed with tears, could I truly believe?
OH! It was so true!! I then knew it to be!!!
I had to smile, ’cause they were all winking at me!!!!

ryn, that’s how we did the money for the first 3-4 years of our marriage (when I was making 2 -3x as much as he was…) and then we decided to consolidate because he felt small – that I had all the “extra” $ and he never got to spend any. But I was better at it…Anyhow. Ahem. I think your way is the right way to go. Not sure if I can get us back there now though.
