SEATTLE WEDDING SHOW
Gracious me
It’s really going to happen, I’m getting married in 6 months. I never really thought I was the marrying type with me being an old spinster, fuddy duddy 41 year-old women. I would always snub my nose up at the likes of wedding magazines and yearly wedding show. Too much fuss I would say.
But..then I met my love and everything has changed. I want our day to be special because I’ve waited all these years for him so by gosh by golly we deserve a love celebration.
I carted and at times dragged my maids to the 400 exhibits at the weddig show. The excitement/frenzy started right away as soon as we entered the throne of Bridedom. There they were in all their sparkly glory–the party cars. We couldn’t help but jump into the limousine. We fell into the plush leather seats and had visions of where we wanted to go..how many girls we could crame in it..how much it would cost.
Here we are in some old fancy car don’t know what type or year just a really cool G-ride
Next, we climbed up into a really big bus MOTOR COACH Talk about riding in style. Our minds swirled with hyper emotions, we could have fun riding in this coach all the way to Canada. Watching dvd’s, wearing our jammies and sipping my signature cocktail a peach Cosmo. Our dreams died after coming back to reality and realizing how much it would cost to rent this rig.
I tried to avoid the one thousand wedding dressing, but my maids all giddy in the wedding spirit wanted to try on some dresses. How could I tell them no (: I could care less about the dresses since I will be wearing a buckskin to keep with my native american culture.

Ok, here is a pic of me in the midst of wedding dresses–the closest I will ever be to one.
The highlight of our day was the Bridal Fasion Show. Here are a few of my favorite pics.
I will have her body and her body and her body This fashion show really left us with a complex
MY MUST HAVE ITEMS I FOUND AT THE SHOW
i love love love (!) this table setting. I would change the color scheme to blue and silver
I was so elated to finally find the perfect wedding cake for my beach theme reception. I would like it to be silver and white instead of the gold.
MY TOP TEN THINGS ABOUT THE WEDDING SHOW
1. Vera Wang=top wedding designing Icon–!
2. Forget Costco–much better sampling at the wedding show
3. My maids all want to get married now
4. Fish ice sculpture and ice punch bowl just too cool
5. We could rent the big rig if everyone paid $20.00
6. I can make a better DVD production
7. Photographers are way, way too expensive
8. I like the idea of using little picture frames for placecards
9. Cupcakes instead of tradional cake??
10. Thank god this will be my last wedding show–it was exhausting.
yay..I am very excited for you

By all means, do the wedding and do it up right. I guarantee you will love it AND you will NEVER ever want to have another wedding in your life! It will make your marriage that more secure knowing how much you invested in the wedding and how much you don’t want to do it again. Congratulations.

Definately do it up right!!! But….The only advice I was given before I got married and am glad I listened to is this. Go and see other albums from the photographers, and other weddings they have done. Pay the money because the pictures will last a lifetime. I say that should be the only thing you should spare no expense on. I look at other peoples wedding pics and they suck and mine dont.

I’m glad you had fun and from the looks on their faces, so did the other girls. I so agree with previous noter about the pictures, unless you know someone who is a good photographer, it is worth the money to have the memories. I am so happy for you!

Hey…… such beauty! I love the way the cake looks and hope you will have one like it! RYN: It really does seem that we share many of the same things in the past. When you talked abt your Dad bringing the roses……well, I know exactly the feeling you had.. you read about my dad in the church. Sounds so much alike. Thank you for your sweet notes. Y

ryn: Your “Save the Date” card is what gave me my announcement idea. We are doing this simple, private ceremony thing but I want to let friends and family know after. So…. I’m going to use the “We’ve tied the knot…” line at the top. The white sheer ribbon in between and then write something like… “It is with great pleasure that we announce our recent marriage. KVT and BEB were…

(cont.) married in a private ceremony on Month 00,2006 in Lancaster, PA. Something like that… I want to use nice white textured paper similar to what you had. I’m going to make them 4.25″ by 5.5″ so that I can get four out of a 8 1/2″ by 11″ sheet and so that they’ll fit just right in an invitation envelope. SO, can I borrow your idea?
