October Rains
SO,
It looks like my Internet connection is happy today. Hughes Satellite has *v* sketchy service. There are some days and it seems to be the days that I’m off work that the connection is slower than dial up. Go figure! Now, really it shouldn’t take 30 minutes to just load up AOL and 14 hours to try and download the new Nero 9. I still don’t have that darn thing loaded yet. I only have another 3 days before the download time will lapse. I even had my husband chop down a tree for better satellite exposure but no no no the problem still taunts me. Today is a good day though, but I’m finding that on the good days I’m literally typing faster and racing from one site to the next in fear of the inevitable decline of speed.
Here is my morning web racing line up:
/Facebook, Twtiter, Open diary,Drudgereport.com Hot Air.com, AmerciasRight.com Salon.com–I read Salon.com for good measure. I like to look at both sides of the political spectrum. Tacomanewstribue, Mynorthwest.com and twopeasinabucket, Scrapbookelements.
I really enjoyed this photo essay and I hope you will enjoy it as well check it out
What is your morning line up?
I saw my first snow flake the other day, tiny flakes falling from the heavens–warning me to buy my snow tires, taunting me to get off my arse and spend the $800. EDIT: just bought my tires ($600.00) I decided to get the all terrain tires and opted out of buying the studs. I’m so afraid of getting killed in a car accident ever since I had a premonition 25 years ago that this is the way I’d die. I know it’s horrible to think this way but the feeling is so strong. I just pray that I die quickly.
Work is getting better still slow but I have learned to make the best of it. I get paid to scrapbook and do artsy fartsy stuff with the residents. It really makes the time go by fast. I swear God has blessed me with eyes in back of my head, well that’s what I tell my residents. From the back of my head I see that Miss Helen is trying to walk with her walker with one hand while holding her baby doll with her other hand or I can see my new resident trying to get up out of her wheelchair and almost ready to do a face plant, and I’m just in time in catching Mr Tom from spitting on the floor. So, I’m busy all day monitoring everyone and doing my best to keep them safe. It really is a work out for me though, I never sit down -I’m on the go! I’m also called on to check out residents on the assisted living section and assess as needed. The total community has 70 residents.
Here is my latest digi of my beautiful Niece, Tribal Princess.
You have a very beautiful artistic sense. I love the scrapbooking you’ve posted on here. My gosh, what torture was Shana subjected to? Awesome that you have eyes in the back of your head…you need them! I was certain I would die in a car accident. I talked to a psychic. She said my angels are always in the car alongside me! I am safe. I believe your angels are with you too! Believe that!
