My Tivo and Sledding
Tivo anyone??
No Nano this year instead BB bought me Tivo for Christmas and I’m just about ready to kick it right back into the box where it came from and take it back to Best Buys. I have never been more frustrated in any single electronic device–ever!!! Double chit! The damn thing doesn’t change channels so BB and I have been stuck watching NBC–Oh hell it records shows fine and dandy if you like only the shows on channel 5. Mistake number one was having Craig the 17 year old try and hook up Tivo as if he was hooking up stereo speakers and sub woofers–it appears to me that my Tivo doesn’t like to be man handled by a pesky teenager. Mistake number Two: Calling Tech support: Dish Satelite and Tivo don’t make good bedfellows. Dish Satelite people say it’s a problem with Tivo and the Tivo people say it’s a problem with dish satellite. In the meantime I’m spinning around in circles. I have been instructed to call back The Tivo people tonight and work with the head honcho tech expert to help me solve this problem–I THINK ME AND MY TIVO NEED A BREAK FROM EACH OTHER FOR AWHILE. I just can’t bare another two hours on the phone trying to trouble shoot.
Went to the Cabin for NYE Had the first annual sledding Derby. Sixteen people in attendance. Fun was had by all. This is a pic of me and my Blade Runner–This thing is fast as lightning. You’re never to old to go sledding–I will be 99 and still hitting the slopes. BB’s Brother and his new friend were having a little too much fun on the slopes–It’s nice to see love in bloom. I took some more photos of their wipe outs but I’m afraid they are a little to explicit to post here *wink* they landed in the snow in some rather akward postions.
Here is an adorable cousin on BB’s side of the family–What you don’t see is him throwing the snow balls at me. The snowball kept on coming and coming
and coming
from every direction
One Big Snow Ball Fight!
BB’s birthday is NYE! We stayed the night at the cabin sans children–just the two of us and it was pure bliss!! We were invited to watch some fire works at midnight. Our neighbors over the river and through the woods were having a little celebration. We haven’t seen 12 oclock go around the clock twice in years!!! We decided to take a nap and prepare our bodies to stay up late and celebrate the new year but when the alarm clock went off on his cell phone at 11:30pm we just could rustle out of bed and go. We are turning into such fuddy-duddies in our old age. Can’t even Kiss at midnight on NYE!!
Try the tivo website. There’s some great information available there. Good luck, we just set ours up a few weeks back.

yeah the set up is very very picky on tivo.. i have done two.. it takes time to get it right… sounds to me like it doesnt know which channel box you have, the controls are specific to each model.. great sleigh picture btw {smile}

I am surprised you had so much trouble with the Tivo, my setup was a piece of cake, maybe try unhooking everything and starting from scratch?

Happy New Year! If that was my TiVo it would be in TiVo heaven by now that’s how much patience I have.

And just to think, I thought a Tivo would be a pretty cool gadget to have. Let me know if you get it working! Your photos are great. And you are so pretty!

See I want a TiVo but like you I just don’t understand setting up gadgets and I have very little patience.

that looks like the coolest sled I’ve ever seen…

That sled looks faster than Clark Griswold’s. I’ll bet you could beat him in a race to the Walmart parking lot anyday. I miss Christmas movies, can you tell?
