MOTHERS DAY

WELCOME BABY SCOOTER TO OUR FAMILY

I can’t find the right words to describe how important my family is to me. If it wasn’t for my mother and father I would not be here, I would have no sisters, nieces, nephews, brother in laws,aunts uncles. Thank you mother for being pregnant all through out your twenties to bore my five sisters. I saw how proud you were today gathered around your six daughters, and 14 grandchildren. I watched you hold your new grandchild, Scooter, It must be something special to know that you have created quite a legacy.

Mom, I don’t know if I will ever be able to offer you a grandchild. I have tried for the last three years to no avail. I will continue to try even if it will cost me thousands of dollars. I would want my child to bask in your light and call you grandma. I hope someday, I too can be a mother on mother’s day and feel what it is like to have a child bask in my glory.

In the meantime, I can be a mother/auntie to all my nieces and nephews and be the sounding board for the older kids. Sometimes it is easier for them to talk to me about things they can’t discuss with their parents. I can be the listening ear, the teacher, the advisor.

I may not be able to have a child of my own, but I have been truly blessed to be surrounded by so much love and admiration.
